报告题目(英文):Advanced Process Simulation of Solidification and Melting

报告内容简介:At some stage in the production of every metal part/product the metal material has been melted and solidified to form the primary or final shape, as well as as-cast structure. Quanti-tative prediction and control of solidification and melting has been, and remains, the most critical issue in the metallurgical and other materials processing industry. This presentation is going to introduce a multiphase volume-average modeling approach (or method) and its application in developing solidification models of different complexities. Modeling exam-ples will be shown: i). a mixture continuum solidification model for continuous casting of steel; ii). a two-phase globular equiaxed solidification model for well-inoculated aluminum casting; iii). a two-phase monotectic solidification model for immiscible alloy; iv). a three-phase mixed columnar-equiaxed solidification model for large steel ingot; v). a four-phase melting/solidification model for the ESR remelting ingot; vi). a five-phase mixed columnar-equiaxed dendritic solidification model for aluminum casting. Further application potentials of above models will also be discussed.
